February Beatitude:

the pure in heart, for they will see God.

The pure in heart think, about other people in kind and compassionate ways.  Jesus talks about this in Matthew 15: 10-20. The way you can measure cleanness of heart is to think about the things you say.  If our hearts are pure and clean, our speech will show it.

·                    Can you think of a time when you used your tongue to make peace? What might you do when you are tempted to make fun of someone?  Is it difficult to be clean of heart? Why?

Examples for your Beatitude Log (February)

·        Make a family chart and record kind words

·        Read Matthew 15: 10-20

·        Make a list of compliments you could give other people

·        Talk about how it feels when people say kinds things to you

·        Make a synonym list for kindness

·        Focus on doing at least one random act of kindness for someone each day
