March Beatitude:
the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Peacemakers are those who bring two sides together and make peace. The two sides can be two people you know, or it can be your friend and you. This is also called “reconciliation.” This is a very special virtue for Christians (see Matthew 5: 23-26)
· Do you know a peacemaker? How does that person make peace?
Examples for your Beatitude Log (March)
· Find Bible stories that are examples of peace.
· Discuss how you can be a peacemaker at home and school.
· Talk about peace or the lack of peace in our world.
· Say kind, gentle, and calming words to people you meet.
· Brainstorm a list of songs with your family that talk about peace.
· Read Matthew 5: 23-26
· Complete “Peacemaker Hall of Fame” Activity sheet.
